Description
- Short Description
The Catalina 22 is a legendary, trailerable, sloop-rigged pocket cruiser designed by Frank Butler and introduced in 1969 by Catalina Yachts. Widely considered the "Volkswagen Beetle" of the sailing world, it holds a record as one of the most successful and mass-produced fiberglass sailboats in history, with over 15,000 units built. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The Mark II (MkII) generation (produced from 1995 to 2004) completely revitalized the classic design. It featured an enlarged deck layout that flared out to maximize internal cabin space, eliminated the high-maintenance exterior teak trim, and introduced a refined interior pan. [1, 2, 3]
